Easy + Healthy Breakfast Idea!

Helloooo everyone!  How is everyone's Tuesday so far?  Mine is pretty great as of right now, the weather is SO gorgeous today, and I've had a super productive day (I went to the gym, I'm pretty proud not gonna lie hehe).  Anyways, I made this delicious bowl of "nice cream" today, and I thought I would share how I did it because it's seriously so easy and quick, and I make it almost everyday! Also, there's like a million different ways you can do it, there's tons of ideas on Tumblr and Pinterest for this stuff, this is just a combo I tried today and really liked!

Cherry + Strawberry Nice Cream

For the Base:
  • 2-3 frozen bananas (can do however many you want really!)
  • about a tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa or cacao powder
  • a handful of frozen cherries and strawberries
  • about a quarter cup water
  • 2 kiwis, sliced
  • shredded coconut
  • a drizzle of almond butter
  • granola (any kind will do!)
So all you do is pop all of the base ingredients into your blender (I use a Vitamix) and blend it!  I'm not sure if this would work on a little Nutribullet or anything, so just use your judgment here!  It takes a lot of pausing the blender to push everything back down to get it moving again, but don't lose faith, once it starts blending it makes this gorgeous thick and creamy mixture.  So once that's all blended, but it into a bowl, and then stick your toppings on!  You can use basically any topping you can think of, this is just what I felt like putting on today.  And then your done!  Seriously SO easy and so good and filling!

I hope y'all liked this little post, it's a little different for me but I was feeling inspired!  Have a wonderful rest of your day and I'll talk to y'all soon!

Product Review | Maybelline Fit Me Concealer

Hello everyone and happy Tuesday!  So this past week I have been trying out the Maybelline Fit Me concealer, which is a product that has gotten a lot of hype and that I've been dying to try out for forever.  Also, it's been compared to Nars Creamy Concealer which I've never tried but I've always wanted to, has anyone tried both and thought they were similar?

So my consensus on this is that it is SO amazing!  It's super creamy and gives the most beautiful radiant coverage.  The overall effect of it is so beautiful on the face, it just gives you a natural looking lift, and it makes me look 1000x more awake and happy about life (Monday morning essentials am I right?).  For the price, this is definitely a huge steal, and if you haven't tried it and are looking for a cheap concealer that works wonders, I would go get this one ASAP!

Five Essentials for Surviving School

Hello everyone!  I hope y'all are all having a great Monday wherever you are, and if you're not, Netflix and chocolate are two sure fixes for a bad mood, just a lil life hack for you hehe.  Anyways, as we are all nearing the end of the school year, that means that exams are no doubt already stressing most of us out.  Over the years I've developed about five things that I realized I absolutely need to survive exams, and just school in general.  These are basically stationary essentials, I may do a more random essentials for school in a week or so as I have a lot of those as well.  But for now, on to the stationary essentials!

1 .  Legal Pad

I always forget how much I love legal pads, but they are so convenient for school.  I love keeping them on me to just jot down my plan for the week or any due dates I have.  Also, this pink and gold legal pad from Target is just the cutest thing ever and it makes me feel like Elle Woods which is all I've ever really wanted.

2 .  Mead 5 Star Notebook

This is super basic, but I have always always used these for school, so I thought I needed to include them!  I get one for each subject and keep all my handouts in the little pockets and obviously write all my notes in them.  I like these a lot more than having binders because they take up so much less room and they are nice and easy to stick in a purse or backpack!

3 .  Rollerball Pens

Again, super basic, but I always use rollerball pens because they make my handwriting look better, which is always needed in my life, you know?  Also, these are super cheep which, again, is always something I need in my life.

4 .  Sticky Notes

Sticky notes are SO essential for me when I'm studying, and I'm obsessed with these from ban.do.  I always use sticky notes to mark pages, or make notes on textbooks without having to mess up my book (gotta keep that resell value high you know).  Also, I love using stickies to mark down any assignments I have that week and chuck it somewhere that I'll have to look at it so I don't forget anything.

5 .  Planner

Planners y'all... so so important, even if you think you can remember every due date and test and essay and meeting in your brain, I'm sorry, but nobody's lil brain can take all that so buy an agenda already!  I use mine all the time, and ban.do has the cutest ones ever that are really affordable!

And those are my stationary essentials for school, I hope that y'all enjoyed reading this a lil bit!  I'll talk to y'all soon, and in a week or so I'll do a non-stationary school essentials, aka chocolate and tissue for all the stress tears... jk... or not...

Goals for April | 2016

Hello everyone! So I was feeling a little inspired this morning to start doing monthly goals blog posts, because I really enjoy reading these on other people's blogs and also I thought it would be a great way to hold myself accountable throughout the month! I thought I would do this every month, and then do sort of a summary of how the last month went in each post, does that make any sense? If it does then that's surprising because my brain still hasn't really woken up today (what else is new though y'all), but anyways let's get right into it!

1 Focus on Eating Clean

I usually actually do eat pretty healthy, but I feel like through the winter my portion sizes got a little crazy, so I really want to focus on keeping myself healthy by controlling that just a little bit.

2 Dedicate an Hour Each Day to AP Studying

For anyone who doesn't know, AP tests are standardized subject tests that happen at the end of the year for Highschoolers who have taken a certain class (don't know if they have these in other countries?).  I took AP European History this year, and the test is coming up on May 6th, so I really want to dedicate myself to this!

3 Focus on One Book of the Bible + Study it

I have never really studied one section of the Bible on my own before, so I thought this would be really interesting to see how that goes.  I'm thinking about studying Matthew, but we shall soon see!

4 Journal as Much as Possible

I told y'all how much I've loved journaling in my March favorites post, but I want to try and journal even more this month.  Being a senior in high school, I really want to try and capture as many memories as I can as this is a chapter of my life that's ending really soon, and I want to be able to look back at this time later on down the road!

I'm feeling pretty good about those goals, hopefully having them up here will hold me accountable, because usually I get pretty slack about goals I set for myself, not gonna lie!  We'll see how this goes, and I hope all of you have a lovely day!

Product Review | Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara

Ummm... the name of this mascara honestly y'all I don't love it, but I do love the actual mascara so I just gotta be real with y'all!  So obviously this mascara has so much hype around it, I've heard about it so so many times, so I was so excited to finally try it out, and I was not disappointed at all!  I mean this had so much to live up to, and y'all it lived up to every single thing.  I really love the wand of it, it's got a big fluffy wand that just grabs every single lash, which is amazing.  It's very lengthening and thickening, but it's not overwhelmingly thickening, you can build it up to however you like it which is so nice.  I also feel like this just goes on the lashes so smoothly, if that makes sense, it just glides on and it makes me feel like a Disney princess getting ready for the day... I mean whatever gets me through 6:20 AM on a Tuesday morning right?

So, in conclusion: Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara, would highly recommend, 10/10, for sure worth the money!  So that's my two cents on it y'all, hope this helped some of y'all if you're thinking about making the plunge but you're not sure if it's worth the money, I'm here to tell you it is worth every penny!

Hope y'all have a wonderful rest of your day wherever you are, I'll talk to y'all soon!

What's in My Everyday Makeup Bag!

Truth be told, I don't really use a "makeup bag" everyday because, I mean ain't nobody got time for that ya feel?  It's just a struggle to dig through a teeny little bag for the one thing I need and I'm already half-dead in the morning, so that just really doesn't flow well in my life.  That being said, I've been traveling loads lately so I have been forced to cooperate with a makeup bag, and I found myself putting the same products into it every time, so I thought I would share what I have been using almost everyday on my lil face!

March 2016 Favorites

Ohh my gosh you guys, it's April?  How is that possible? I'm still getting used to writing 2016 instead of 2015... life moves too fast for me sometimes y'all.  March was such an amazing month that was filled with lots of sunshine, visiting siblings, puppies, and trying out new makeup!  Honestly what a stellar combo right?  Soo these are the things I've been loving through sunny sunny March...

1 // Journaling
This is something that I've always gone back and forth with in my life.  I feel like every year I tell myself I'm going to journal every single day, which is admirable, but honestly not that feasible for me you know?  So recently I've just been loving journaling whenever I want with no strict agenda, and it has been so much fun!  I've also used my journal as a doodle space, where I can doodle to my hearts content, which is one of my favorite things.  I've been using this journal and these pens, and have been loving both so much!

I feel like I have really underrated this mascara in my mind for whatever reason, but it's seriously so so good.  It gives so much volume and thickness, which I really like.  I feel like if you like more dry, lengthening mascaras this might not be for you, but if you like a lot of drama (like me) than definitely give this a go!

Both of these products I got during spring break, and they were my first dabble in Nars products, and let me just say, color me impressed.  Both are so high quality and so easy to use.  I have done full reviews of both of these products, but I wanted to include them here because I really have been loving them so much throughout March!

I actually got this as a Christmas gift, and used it through most of January, but kind of fell off track during February, so I made an executive decision to start it back up during March.  I just love this because it's so easy to use and I really love having that extra push to be more active, even if it's just getting outside to walk my dog for ten minutes, it has such a big impact on my overall wellbeing.

5 // Isaiah 41:13
After watching Kate from A Lonestar Southern share her faith during her March Favorites (here), I thought I would start sharing something that I feel like God has been showing me throughout the month in each of my favorites.  I know faith isn't big in everyone's life, but it is in mine, so I thought I would share because it is a huge part of who I am!  So this month the verse that's really been helping me through a lot is Isaiah 41:13, which reads "That’s right. Because I, your God, have a firm grip on you and I’m not letting go. I’m telling you, ‘Don’t panic. I’m right here to help you.'"  I feel like during January and February I let a lot of anxiety just sort of settle into my life.  I found myself being anxious from the minute I woke up about everything from my family and friends being safe, to the very act of driving to school.
I realized through a lot of prayer that I was keeping myself in a little jail of anxiety, and that this was not at all the way God created me to experience life.  I really clung to this verse because it reminded me that God not only loves me and everyone around me so so deeply, but also that he has absolutely every single aspect of my life figured out.  None of my worrying or anxiety could take away the fact that I am his precious daughter, and he always has and always be right beside me, holding my hand, and that he will never let go of my hand.  I still catch myself slipping back into that anxiety, but I'm praying through it and I feel like He is really guiding me through it all.

And those are my favorites from March!  I hope you all had an absolutely wonderful March, and that you'll have an amazing April as well!

April Inspiration Board | Pizza and Barbie Pajamas!

 one //  two // three // four // five // six // seven // eight // nine // ten

Fun story, when I was writing the title for this post I wrote March inspiration board, and went on for a good five minutes before realizing that we're in April now... I need to go to bed y'all, my brain is rebelling against me I think.

Anyways, I was online shopping with no intention of buying anything (as one does) and I thought I'd do a little inspiration board as I found SO many cute things! I'm so excited it's April y'all, I seriously cannot wait to see everything around me start bursting into bloom even more!
